Online education has become a near-universal offering among American colleges and universities. With thousands of institutions of higher learning in the United States, high quality degree programs can provide a competitive edge.

From the beginning, Mississippi State has approached online education with a determination to develop challenging, supportive courses. This year, four of its programs are recognized in the U.S. News & World Report online program rankings, including the Distance MBA Program at No.22.

The MSU Center for Distance Education is continually working with academic units to expand the options for courses and programs, including the Adkerson School of Accountancy. Recent additions to online offerings include Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, Survey of Accounting and Financial & Accounting Report Analysis for the MBA program.  The School continues to discuss the possibility of online master’s degrees.
